Senator Schumer AI Insight Forum: Transparency, Explainability, Intellectual Property & Copyright

On 21 June, Senator Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) formally launched the SAFE Innovation Framework, a two-part proposal for driving forward “comprehensive legislation” for AI in the United States.

Part two of the proposal is a new legislative approach for translating this framework into action by convening key stakeholders in AI development and deployment for a series of AI Insight Forums where experts debate regulatory approaches and guardrails for AI in an attempt to forge consensus.
