European Sales / Business Development Manager

About the Role

Just as it did with data privacy, Europe is poised to lead the world into Responsible AI. The looming European Union AI Act promises to introduce one of the strongest regulatory frameworks in the world on the use of AI, and it likely will set a new global standard for AI oversight around the world. With this backdrop, Credo AI is seeking a highly motivated and strategic European Sales & Business Development Manager to oversee and drive our growth in Europe. 

Reporting in the Sales and revenue organization, this role is a unique opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way to high visibility, high impact projects at a very exciting time for the company. Role Responsibilities Include

The European Sales / Business Development Manager is responsible for fueling Credo AI’s growth in Europe. We are searching for an experienced sales and business development professional who is excited by the prospect of working at the bleeding edge of high-tech in a rapidly growing start-up. Key facets of the position include:

  • Create business development plans and sales strategies that employ direct and channel approaches to significantly expand the adoption of Credo AI solutions in Europe
  • Identify and build relationships with European partner organizations that complement and advance sales of Credo AI solutions in Europe
  • Execute sales plans and meet and exceed sales quotas through prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities in Europe
  • Identify and develop relationships with VP & C-Suite prospects in order to methodically qualify, build, and manage an accurate sales funnel and pipeline
  • Manage and support channel partners to increase the execution of sales activities to achieve Credo AI business objectives
  • Provide presentations, product demonstrations and general support to prospects and customers
  • Manage and track customer interaction, prospecting, pipeline, forecast, and transactional information in a CRM system (currently Hubspot)
  • Be the “trusted advisor” to our European customers
  • Collaborate with marketing to identify and execute on thought leadership and marketing opportunities in Europe
  • Work cross-functionally within the wider Credo AI organization to provide feedback and input based on European customer needs and priorities
  • Work closely with customer success to ensure the success of Credo AI software deployments in Europe

Our Expectations

You should be a creative self-starter with an execution focus, a strong sense of urgency and a track record of consistently exceeding expectations. You have experience with the complex enterprise SaaS sales process and in creating, fostering, and managing successful relationships with channel partners. Other expectations:

  • Ability to navigate complex, fast-paced, and dynamic environments with ability to fluidly navigate between strategic and tactical tasks
  • Proven track record leading complex SaaS sales cycles, including prospecting, proposing, closing, and further developing an account 
  • Proven ability to independently manage, develop, and close new client relationship
  • Experience responding to RFPs and RFIs in complex environments and short timeframes
  • Emotionally savvy with the ability to influence at the C-Suite level to build long term relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent listening, presentation, and communication skills
  • Experience in predictive analytics or AI-enabled solutions, Responsible AI, Machine Learning, Digital Ethics, or AI consulting preferred
  • Comfortable on a fast-paced, global team supporting a venture backed start-up
  • Ability to work autonomously and from a remote location
  • Fluent in English and a near-native speaker in at least one of the following languages: German, French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish or Dutch
  • Ability to travel as needed
